Separates have been around for centuries.
In Victorian times, middle class ladies had 2 or 3 bodices to match 1 skirt, as good fabric was expensive and while skirts took a large lenth, a bodice could be cut out of next to nothing. This was a thrifty way to try and emulate the upper classes. Gentlemen could change their waistcoats for variety. We make a wide range of separates for ladies and gentlemen. Medieval shirts, skirts, pants etc, Victorian gentlemens waistcoats and ladies bustles and skirts. Romantic to industrial gothic pieces can be mixed and matched.
